i survived

so i said to brian on the phone wednesday night that i didn't want to go to work the next day b/c i thought i might die i was so bored. so, i decided to be literal and dropped my blood pressure really low and got ambulanced to the hospital. first thing he says to me when i tell him where i was and what happened? "when you said you might die if you go into work tomorrow, you really almost meant it!" and now i'm utterly mortified to go back on monday, but i'll only have like 2.5 wks left and then they can tell all the stories they want about the med student who had a vasovagal from hearing about earwax. that wasn't really why it all happened, just coincidental, i swear. but it is a funny story.
and thanks to brian for twice being a hero - picking me up at the hospital AND killing the most enormous cockroach ever for cara and i. ugh, i shutter reliving that moment. gross!
