friday!

ran a 4-miler on the treadster at just under a 9-mile per hour pace, although it was with a taper. anyway, felt good, good start to the weekend :)

Went out for a run with katie today, did a version of the penn's landing loop for a total of 4 miles. delightful run and good gossip. getting the miles up, broad street still within my sites. got my first blister though...hmmm, time for a new pair of shoes?? have to figure out how to pay for them first...

catch up

the good news: i have been running/working out. the bad news, not nearly enough to be prepared for broad street. however, i haven't given up hope yet. so here's my quick catch-up on activities...
friday's run was not as far as i'd hoped, but it was outside and with hills, so that's something at least. my body was all stiff from it, but not sore, so that's a plus.
the week before ran a treadmill of 2 miles plus weights and squats on tuesday. just didn't have it in me.
and the sunday before that, did a speed workout of 800's hard and 400's easy for a total of 3.25 miles.
this is not good, but at least it's something, right? still hoping for broadstreet. gotta get the miles up, up, up...
