3 miles, 27.5 minutes. getting it down!

my plan is to definitely up the amount of workouts per week (ie 1). today was another treadmill workout - 1 mile at 6, 1.25 at 6.5 and about 6.4 for the last .75 miles, for a total of 3. broad street WILL happen!

start low go slow

dragged/guilted brian into taking me to the gym today :) anyway, just a two miler on the treadmill - started at 6 for 5 minutes and titrated up to 7 over the next 10 minutes, then dropped it by 0.2's for each minute until i got to 2 miles. so a good workout, pushed it a little, but not too much as to hurt myself or make myself too sore! and now that i know where the gym is here and how empty it is, i can use the treadmill as need be for speedwork once i get back to that sort of level. well, not the level of last year, but some sort of level that can handle speedwork. can i just say how excited i am that so many people are interested in training for broad street, let alone actually doing it?! cheers to running!
